I'm gettin' outta here
GUESS WHAT? I am going to Spectacular! Ok, maybe you don't care. Well, you aren't being forced to read this post either. Warning: I will be giving history here. In March, the day before Ciarra's bday, we were in an auto accident. The kind where you get hit once and the driver leaves and then a woman plows into the rear of your vehicle going 55 and pushes your car into the back end of the full size van in front of you but the man in that van is so old and the van is like a tank so he doesn't even realize he's been hit. That kind of accident. We had to have a rental car for 2 weeks and we had to buy 3 new car seats. Thankfully it happened right after we got our tax return. I say thankfully because we had the money for the deductibles and the car seats at the time. Otherwise we wouldn't have had that kind of money all at once. So, N T ways, because there was a hit and run car involved the police did not close the case for 4 months and we have waited to settle on the entire thing with the insurance. Then, in August the insurance sent me a letter telling me they were ready to propose a settlement for a RIDICULOUS (low) offer. I said no and in the mean time I was getting threatening letters that my credit would be affected and harrasing phone calls that I needed to pay my bills. Well, duh, I fully intended on doing that after I got money to. Note: this was our first accident so I didn't know that these were alot of things I could've asked my own insurance to handle so I could pay them. They knew I'd be getting a settlement. Well, long story proceeding, my husband got to go to Pastor's school in March and really wanted me to go to Spectacular in October so he said if we got the settlement by then he wanted me to plan to go. Cut to the chase: I settled with the insurance on Monday (exactly 2 weeks before I need to fly out and for any who don't know...you need to buy airline tix 2 weeks in advance to get cheaper prices) so I bought 'em! Isn't the Lord so funny, that He waits 'til the 11th hour? I wonder if it tickles Him to wait as much as it tickles us to give our kids something we know they are anxiously hoping for. I'm going to Chicago! I am so excited!!!! Now, I'm figuring out the fun stuff like where to stay and where to go on my one day touring! Good thing I checked out those library books about Chicago! I assure you there will be more pics then you will ever care to see here in a few short weeks.
