It's been fabulous!

Today was a really good day.

Aside from waking up late for church and having to try out a new flat iron, that I don't really like so far, because the heating element on my other one is toast (a moment of silence please), and frantically running about trying to get myself and the girls ready so that daddy wouldn't have to take care of it, because after all this is his day, everything was wonderful! Whew that was a really big run on sentence!
The message at church this morning was about following the example of our heavenly Father in parenting and, of course, especially to dads.

My sweetheart was able to enjoy a very relaxing afternoon. I know this because he rested.

We've had a very long week with a revival meeting Sun - Wed and our anniversary Thurs and then Fri - Sat. he went on the men and boys campout and came back redder than a lobster. I told him today the whole time he was preaching he looked mad cuz his face was soo red. It's so funny. He has the worst farmer tan on his neck I have ever seen. It's hilarious. And he's exhausted.

We had yummy bbq and boiled potatos and the girls gave their daddy his presents. Snickers ice cream bars and a new t-shirt with all of their handprints on it. Complete with Cuppie's little finger markings on the very bottom that really bothered her older sisters. Daddy said he loved it because it was from the baby and C was fully expecting that he was going to sing them a song of thanks or cry. Poor little girl growing up with all this female drama. She hasn't figured out daddy is definitely not one of us!

So here are the pics from our anniversary. The Father's day pics will follow soon.

I was told there's not a bad seat in the park. That is unless the people in front of you all work for the same place and absolutely insist on getting up EVERY SINGLE TIME your team is up to bat.

I've learned that while boys pack lightly *ahem* men don't. At least that was my observation on Friday. Apparently they were concerned about running out of food and drinks because there were 3 coolers and they didn't even touch any of the drinks my husband brought.
