Last week we had Vacation Bible School! Last year our church didn't have VBS so this year when the time came everyone was willing to pitch in and excited about the Wild Wild West!
The offerings were fun (we had a teen boy and girl each night that had to eat gross food if they lost)
The skit was entertaining (Marshall Nolan had to teach big bad Billy Bartlett a thing or two about obeying "the Law")
We had 28 visitors and 11 kids saved (one of our younger cowgirls :P )
Ciarra went out with her daddy everyday to try to get visitors since her friends already go to our church and the second night she had 3 come and all 3 were saved!
However, the absolute highlight of Vacation Bible School this week, was when my little sweetheart, Grace, raised her hand on Monday night that she knew for sure she was not saved. I am her Sunday School teacher right now and she has never raised her hand for salvation in my class, she has never come forward for salvation in her Jr. Church class and she had never made a profession of faith with her daddy or myself. So when she came forward I asked to be the one to pray with her. From the day every one of our girls were born I have asked the Lord to allow us to be the ones to be able to pray with them when they decide to accept Jesus' gift of salvation and my husband has faithfully prayed with them every night including petitioning the Lord for them to accept His gift.
I cannot tell you how sweet it was to have my little girl fully understand her need for Jesus' saving grace in her life. She has been walking around all week telling me we can just call her "little saved girl" and commenting on how happy she is that she's now going to heaven. There is no doubt about the joy of her salvation! All the way home and late into the night she called grandparents and aunts and uncles to tell them about her decision. She was just that excited.
Praise the Lord there's a new name written down in glory and it's Gracie's.

It is such a joy reading your blog!
You are a great example.
That is wonderful news! Being a parent is a joy, but it's even sweeter when you can lead them to the Lord. I was able to do that with my youngest just a couple of months ago.
Praise the Lord, for He is Good!
